Menganti Beach, a beautiful beach at the southern tip of Kebumen

Currently, the beach that is in the public spotlight is Menganti Beach. This beach is located in Karangduwur Village, Ayah Subdistrict, Kebumen Regency. Menganti Beach is called the most beautiful beach in Central Java because of its mesmerizing natural beauty. There are hilly landscapes in the form of karst cliffs that make this beach very mesmerizing. The beauty of the beach is often said to be similar to the beauty of the beaches in New Zealand.

This beach also presents beautiful white sand and is suitable for spending sunrise or sunset time from the top of the cliff. As mentioned earlier, Menganti Beach has a hilly landscape in the form of karst cliffs. The scenery displays a beautiful natural charm like the beaches in New Zealand. This tourist spot also has a camping area or camping ground that tourists can use for camping. Also, there is a cave on the beach that can be seen when the sea water is not so high or low tide. One of the most popular attractions for tourists is the Saung on the beachfront hill.


This Saung is an interesting spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of Menganti Beach from a height. Then another interesting tourist attraction is the presence of a lighthouse tower left by the Dutch since 1915. The lighthouse tower is located on the south side hill which attracts the attention of tourists. Menganti Beach is located in Karangduwur Village, Ayah District, Kebumen Regency.

This place can be reached by traveling about 40 km from the center of Kebumen and takes about 1 hour. When tourists want to visit Menganti Beach, the journey that will be passed is a hilly area. So tourists must be careful if they bring a private vehicle. Even though you have to go through a hilly area when visitors arrive in the Menganti Beach area, they will immediately be treated to enchanting natural scenery. Based on information from several sources, the entrance fee to this beach is around IDR 10,000.


The ticket price does not include the price of parking fees for motorcycles or car vehicles. Menganti Beach is also open for 24 hours and there are places to stay that can be rented. Menganti Beach is equipped with several main facilities that can be utilized by visitors. One of them is lodging facilities in the form of homestays to villas. Even visitors can also choose lodging that directly presents sea views from the hills.

Then at Menganti Beach there is also a camping ground to enjoy camping activities. Tourists can also enjoy culinary offerings available at food stalls around Menganti Beach. Of course, these food stalls help visitors to overcome hunger with appetizing food. Panta Manganti also has quite important public facilities such as prayer rooms, toilets, and of course parking lots for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.
